Reprising the session from this year’s CFTA Conference at Michigan State, please join Autodesk in a presentation of 4 no-cost tools that are available to you as a building owner to fortify your BIM workflows.  These tools are being provided as a part of the Autodesk support for interoperability initiatives in the US and beyond.  The specific tools that will be covered will be:

The Autodesk Revit Model Checker for Revit - This free tool will automatically check your Revit models based on a set of BIM requirements and generate a compliance report.  The tools is fully configurable and available to check for many things within the Building Information Model.  The model checker includes sample configurations for over 30 different checks (such as COBie) and allows you to build your own.

  • Autodesk Model Checker Configurator for Revit – This is a companion tool to the Autodesk Model Checker for Revit and allows the development of custom configurations for your specific standards.  Once the configurations are developed, they  can also be shared with your consultant community ensuring that the models delivered to you conform to your guidelines and will be useful to you downstream.
  • Autodesk COBie Extension for Revit – Are you and owners asking for COBie deliverables?  When offered in conjunction with the Model Checker above, these tools offer the opportunity to ensure that your COBie deliverables are of the highest quality.  You can create an entire workflow around these three tools and then provide these configurations to your consultants at no cost ensuring that you are getting the data that you need.
  • Autodesk Classification Manager for Revit – As the newest tool in the suite of tools, this tool will allow you to quickly apply data from multiple classification systems to all your elements.

Join us and understand how you can use this suite of tools to ensure that the data being delivered to you by your consultant is of value.

InVision Software Solves Mission Critical Facility Management & Public Safety Challenges for Higher Education Institutions

Richard Koochagian  |  Ben Yetman
Director, Education Practice  |  Director, Solutions Development
PenBay Solutions, LLC

Date:  September 24, 2015
Time:  1pm - 1:30pm (Eastern Time)

Summary:

Your buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and associated assets are mission critical in supporting your institution’s overall objectives. But you can’t manage what you can’t measure, and when it comes to facility management, it is difficult to measure what you cannot see.

The InVision™ software suite brings the robust visualization, analytical, and reporting power of GIS to facility management and public safety. Built on the Esri® ArcGIS® platform technology, InVision Facilities GIS software uses location as the organizing principle for creating order out of complex information. With InVision, you break down data and departmental silos so your many stakeholders can better address both strategic and tactical challenges throughout the facility lifecycle.

In this presentation, we will focus on three mission critical problems faced by most colleges and universities. We will demonstrate how InVision Facilities GIS software solves these key challenges:

  1. Unifying Microcosms of People & Data: learn how InVision Facilities GIS is an integrative technology. Instead of replacing existing software investments, InVision works collaboratively with incumbent data and systems like CAD, BIM, CAFM, CMMS, security, student scheduling, and a vast array related applications to gain a more complete and accurate understanding of your campus portfolios.
  2. Space Is Money: see new approaches to maximizing the utilization of existing space to make sure your facilities meet the educational objectives, methods, and overall mission of your institution.
  3. Increasing Threats Demand Better Safety & Security: discover new capabilities for planning for emergencies, monitoring situations, and responding quickly to minimize the impacts of negative events.

Attend this webinar to see how InVision Facilities GIS can help you save time and money, protect lives and assets, and create safe and productive environments for students, faculty, and staff—all while increasing the value of your existing enterprise systems and data.
