Join the AssociationCFTA accepts both individual and institutional membership enrollments. Membership is open to non-commercial (not-for-profit) organizations and commercial institutions / businesses. This page outlines the types of membership categories and membership details. The CFTA Membership Year To align with our annual conference and ensure attendees represent a majority of our voting members during the All Member Meeting, the standard membership term runs from August 1st through July 31st. Institutional Membership Policy DetailsA handout of these details is also available. The Point PersonEach institution must designate a primary contact, referred to as the Point Person, to manage the membership. Their responsibilities include:
Transferring Memberships An institutional membership can be transferred between employees of the same institution without additional costs (e.g., if a current member leaves the organization). The Point Person must communicate transfers to the CFTA Secretary. Adding Members Mid-Year (For institutions with under 10 members) If you are paying per person and add members during the membership year, the cost is prorated:
Switching Membership Types Institutional members can switch back to individual memberships at the institution’s next renewal date. Prorating Existing Individual Members during an Upgrade If your institution upgrades to an Institutional Membership and your staff already hold active individual memberships, a prorated credit will be applied toward your first year's institutional invoice:
